YOUR MORNING WAKE-UP CALL DAILY EMAIL
Would You Like to Receive This Free Service?
Before the advent of smart phones, we often got wake-up calls from hotel desk clerks when we were away from home. Many of us physically wake up today with alarms. Others use coffee to wake up mentally, still others use meditation to wake up spiritually.
Now, with “Your Morning Wake-up Call” service, delivered to your email box starting March 1, you can receive a daily morning wake-up of your inner being in 30 seconds or less. Think of it as a kind of 1-Minute Inner Wake-up, except it’s less than half the length of a minute.
Quite a number of people who I’ve coached over the years have asked for such a service. And so now, with a new year, comes this new service. As a result of an overwhelming response to a recent poll, I’ve been able to tailor it to your specific needs and interests.
Your poll replies indicate that you’re interested in
- Inspiring Quotes
- Questions to Provoke Insights
- Inner Exercises to Awaken your Higher Nature
- Inspiring Stories
- Scripture, Prayers & Meditations
- Inspiring Poetry Passages
So I’ll be including them in “Your Morning Wake-up Call” service. Would you like to receive it? If so, respond to this email with a positive reply. I look forward to helping you wake up to the greatness that is your true nature.
Group Coaching on Relationships Starting in February: Breakthroughs at a Fraction of the Cost
Some people at the end of my classes tell me they wish that coaching would cost less. While I’ve always kept my rates very competitive with respect to other life and business coaches, I’ve come up with a form of coaching that’s so inexpensive virtually everybody can afford it. It’s called Group Coaching.
It takes place on a conference line phone call for no more than six people, and it focuses on one topic. Each person in the group will get individual coaching on each call, while everyone else listens and profits, having your issues repeatedly brought up by other people because we stay focused on the topic of enriching your relationships, be they with your significant other, your parents, kids, siblings, friends, bosses, co-workers, clients, neighbors, and so forth. A group consciousness also develops, enabling a synergistic effect to usher in breakthroughs for one and all.
The author of Relationships 101, who’s been leading workshops on the subject for the past 15 years and coaching people on the topic for as long, I look forward to helping you create breakthroughs in having far more satisfying and loving relationships.
The hour-long sessions will take place from
8:30-9:30 PM Eastern time
and will be held on six consecutive Thursday nights:

Quote about an Expert
Before there was a wizard or Harry Potter, there was welfare. J.K. Rowling was a broke, depressed, divorced single mother simultaneously writing a novel while studying. Now one of the richest women in the world with an estimated net worth of some $900 million, Rowling reflects on her early failures: “It is impossible to live without failing at something, unless you live so cautiously that you might as well not have lived at all — in which case, you fail by default.”
Quote of the Month
“I’ve been as terrified as the next person, but you’ve got to keep a-going; you’ve got to dream.”
“If you could get up the courage to begin, you have the courage to succeed. ”
“When the Universe wants to make something happen…it has a way of figuring things out.”
–Police detective in The Flash
The Cosmic & The Comic
“A good joke is the one ultimate and sacred thing which cannot be criticized. Our relations with a good joke are direct and even divine revelations.”
Psychologists have identified a new mental condition known as Facebook Addiction Disorder (FAD), which they believe affects 350 million people in the world. There are six characteristics of FAD: the spending of large amount of time on the social network; withdrawal feelings of anxiety when not able to be on Facebook; reduction of normal recreational activities; the setting up of virtual dates (meeting online); if 80 percent of friends are virtual FB friends only; complete absorption of one’s life in Facebook, like the setting up of pages for pets, etc.
Testimonial on Coaching
“I schedule a half hour session with Cary Bayer once a month. I get more out of the short time that we spend together than I do from weekly hour-long sessions with my therapist. His teaching style creates a paradigm shift within my psyche that catalyzes me throughout the month. His use of visual imagery and metaphors perfectly matches my learning style. I highly recommend his services.” –L.E., Life Coach, St. Augustine, FL

Discover Why You’re Here
College freshman forever ask the existential question: “Why am I here? Sometimes there’s the follow-up: “What’s it all about?” (Or for those with a cinematic bent: “What’s it all about, Alfie?”) Contemporary teens are simply echoing a question voiced two thousand years before when Pilate asked Jesus, “What is truth?” The creator of two workshops that address these questions–“How to Discover & Live Your Purpose” and “Discover Why You’re Here–” I’m often asked the very same question by students and coaching clients.
The answers to these questions cut across several areas of our lives–spiritual, financial, relationships, and society. I’ll explain by invoking five foreign words, which I’ll translate and expound upon:
Moksha, Dharma, Raison d’etre, Karma, and Tikun-olam. The first two and fourth are Sanskrit, the third, French, the last, Hebrew.
Moksha is a term widely used in Yoga circles. By Yoga, I don’t mean Hot Yoga classes, but spiritual liberation through Yoga and/or Vedanta, two of Indian philosophy’s six systems. The word means Enlightenment–Self-Realization and beyond–the primary reason you’re in a body on this planet in the first place. Those who believe in Reincarnation posit that the soul returns to Earth until it finally comes to realize its true nature, at which point it ceases to incarnate. That realization, bringing deep peace, is what Moksha is all about. Meditation, Tai Chi, and Yoga can help a person come to the realization of Moksha.
Dharma (Raison D’Etre)
Dharma is translated in a number of ways from the Sanskrit–the Way or the Truth of the Universe, and also your way, or the activities that you’re here to do to fulfill your reason for being. Raison d’Etre is a French term that means just that–reason for being. Luciano Pavarotti’s dharma was to sing opera–his father was an operatic tenor and his wet nurse was also the wet nurse for the great opera soprano Mirella Freni, with whom Pavarotti often performed and recorded. (Talk about Karma–oops that’s the next section.) Michael Jordan’s dharma was to play basketball. Tiger Woods’ was to be a golfer. When you do your dharma you bring the very best that Nature has given you–your God-given talents–into the world, thereby making the world a better place. Using your talents as a hobby for a couple of hours on Saturday afternoons is a minor use of your dharma; doing it as your career turns your livelihood into a lovelihood.
Karma in Sanskrit means action. The way I’m using it here is the way most people think of the term–the response of the Universe to your actions, your words, and your thoughts. Advocates of Reincarnation hold that the secondary reason for incarnating is to clear the karmic decks with those you have incurred strong karmic bonds with. Often that means family members, spouses, etc., relationships that have not reached peaceful resolutions. The intention behind coming back into another body, they say, is to have another chance to come to peace with such souls, even though they will likely be in different bodies, as well.
This Hebrew expression means to bring harmony to our planet, or as some rabbis have put it: “the establishment of Godly qualities throughout the world.” Tikun-olam represents the final reason you’re here: to make this world a better place than it was in before you got here, to leave a lasting legacy, so that others can see the mark you left on the world. Taking on projects that can make a huge difference in the world is one way that you can play your part in bringing about Tikun-olam.
My “Discover Why You’re Here” workshop expands on all this, and then goes on to offer specific techniques that you can practice on a daily or weekly basis that can bring fulfillment to each of these four purposes of yours. These take time to explain; more time than we have space in these pages to explain. So now you know why you’re here. The big question is: What are you going to do about it? Bear in mind the wisdom expressed by Spider-Man: “With great knowledge comes great responsibility.”
