CARY BAYER

FOUNDER, HIGHER SELF HEALING MEDITATION

Cary Bayer founded Higher Self Healing Meditation in 2010.

He is a former teacher of Transcendental Meditation (TM), a trainer of teachers of TM, and a former Teaching Assistant at Maharishi International University, who received his M.A. in Interdisciplinary Studies in the first graduating class on the Fairfield, Iowa campus in 1975. Cary is also the author of more than three dozen publications, including Transcendental Meditations, Higher Self Meditations, and Meditations of Enlightenment.

Cary studied with Maharishi Mahesh Yogi, Deepak Chopra, and Ram Dass, among others.

Since training with Maharishi to become a TM teacher, Cary has taught the program to hundreds of people from southern California and the Caribbean to Western Europe and Australia, and has led month-long meditation retreats at the MIU campus in Fairfield and Phase 1 of TM Teacher Training at Livingston Manor, New York.

His writing has appeared in New Age Journal, Playboy, New York’s Daily News and the San Francisco Chronicle. He writes a syndicated column called “Life 101,” that appears throughout the country, and writes on coaching for Massage Today.

Cary is a Summa Cum Laude graduate in English from SUNY-Buffalo, with an MA in Interdisciplinary Studies from Maharishi International University.
